Laugharne castle stands in the centre of the village and there are several pubs (including the famous Browns Hotel), restaurants and shops. Pendine Sands, the 7 mile stretch of sand made famous by Malcolm Campbell and his car Bluebird are just 10 minutes away. The County Town of Carmarthen is 13 miles away and has an excellent selection of high street and individual shops. This property is furnished and equipped to a high standard with quality fittings and furnishings throughout. Close to cottage 883 which sleeps 7.

Situated in the Carmarthen countryside yet close to the Pembrokeshire National park and Ceredigion County (Cardigan), these two delightful barn conversions make a great base for touring. There are numerous beaches within about a half hour drive and many attractions including Oakwood, Heatherton, Pemberton's Chocolates, Laugharne Castle, the National Botanic Garden for Wales and Aberglasney Gardens, lost in time. The Preseli hills are close by and offer some superb walks and cycling. It is also an ideal spot for bird watching, red kites, buzzards and woodpeckers are regular visitors. The local pub (which serves food) is just 5 minutes walk away and there is leisure club about 2 miles away. The Cottages are situated on a small 6 acre farm with sheep, free range chickens and organically grown fruit and vegetables. St Clears, Whitland and Crymych are all within 8 miles and between them offer an interesting range of individual shops. Narberth is 15 miles away and really is a must visit town, with its eclectic range of galleries, boutiques, delicatessens and eateries.

This newly converted barn provides excellent accommodation and enjoys a rural location between Solva Harbour and Newgale beach,  The coastline on the St Davids peninsula and around St Brides Bay is superb and the Pembrokshire Coastal Path is readily accessible at many points. There are opportunities to take a trip to the offshore islands of Ramsay, Skomer and Skokholm close-by. Solva and St Davids have a good selection of pubs, restaurants and interesting galleries and shops.

A footpath leads across the farmland to the Frenni Fawr, the northern-most hill in the Preseli range. Crymych is at the heart of this Welsh speaking community and the locals offer a warm welcome. Narberth is just a few miles away and has an excellent selection of very individual shops, cafes and galleries. Newport and Poppit Sands are both about 20 minutes drive.

There is a selection of beaches within a half hour drive. The Preseli Hill range has some lovely long walks and you can see the Preseli bluestones some of which were taken all the way to Stonehenge where they stand today. Oakwood Leisure Park and Folly Farm are both about a half hour drive.

Ffarmers is a small village set in the heart of rural Wales. This area of mid Wales is very beautiful and allows access to the towns of Llandovery and Llandeilo (20 minutes drive), Aberaeron (40 minutes) and Brecon and Carmarthen about an hour. Lampeter, the smallest and oldest university town in Wales is just 8 miles away and has a rather cosmopolitan feel to it. The village pub, The Drovers Arms, owned by the community, is 10 minutes walk away and provides a warm welcome and good home cooked food. This converted former estate office offers very comfortable accommodation on a working farm with sheep, cattle and horses. A welcome hamper of bread, ham, milk, sugar, tea, Welsh cakes and wine awaits you on arrival.

The River Teifi offers excellent salmon and sewin fishing as well as canoeing. Red kites breed in this area and the Teifi Marshes are an ornithologist?s delight. There are many attractions within easy driving distance such as golfing, museums, art studios and galleries, crafts, narrow gauge railway, sports facilities, swimming pools, horse riding, go-carting, paintballing and delightful walks. In the summer there are several agricultural shows to enjoy. A very nice pub which serves excellent food is a mile and a half away, and several highly recommended public houses/restaurants within 10 minutes drive. The owners breed world famous Welsh Cob horses on their smallholding close-by. This property is suitable for disabled guests.
