This character cottage is situated along a country lane, and surrounded by open countryside. It is an ideal central location for a self catering holiday, to exploring the wealth of sandy beaches and rugged coastline on the beautiful Solva/St. Davids peninsula. There are many interesting boat trips to the offshore islands, where the Atlantic grey seal is sighted regularly and, nestling on the crevices of the cliff tops are the razorbills, kittiwakes and guillemots.
The entrance porch leads into a spacious lounge/dining room, which is full of character, having beamed ceiling, stone wall and a large inglenook fireplace with log effect electric fire, comfortable settee and easy chairs with Welsh dresser, colour TV, items of occasional furniture, dining table and chairs. The new modern kitchen is fitted with oak units and contains electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and automatic washing machine. The bathroom contains bath with overhead shower, wash hand basin and WC. The ground floor bedroom contains a 4'6" bed. The open tread staircase leads up to a further two bedrooms, the main bedroom contains a double bed, the second bedroom contains twin beds. Linen is provided for the beds which have duvets and blankets. A cot, highchair and stair gate are provided and also a selection of toys and games for infants. In front of the cottage is a gravelled courtyard with ample parking, to the rear of the cottage is a large lawned garden ideal for the children to play. Large picnic table provided. Full gas central heating throughout the cottage. Electricity and Gas will be charged at £25 per week from September to May and £40 per week at all other times. We regret no pets at this property. Towels are available at £3 per guest. Maerdy Lodge is now part of a 2 cottage complex with its own private lawn.
